“We chose Sarah as our wedding photographer, having researched various photographers and their styles on the internet. We were looking for reportage style photographs for our wedding at the Westminster Registry Office, followed by an informal reception at the Groucho Club in Soho. We were very struck by the creative and imaginative style of her work, which we felt stood out from the crowd.

At all our meetings with Sarah we found her approach warm, friendly, accommodating to our wishes, yet bringing clear ideas of her own. We were impressed by her pre-wedding visits to the Registry Office and the Groucho Club, to check lighting and scout for locations to provide imaginative backdrops to our photographs. On the wedding day numerous guests commented on Sarah's warmth and non-obtrusive approach to capturing people's enjoyment of the day. We wholeheartedly agree with such sentiments.

Quite simply our photographs were outstanding. We had a collection of formal and informal pictures that completely captured the essence of the day. We had a large collection of photographs to chose from and found Sarah's home visit helped to clarify the final selection. We selected the coffee table style album for our photographs, of which the quality was impeccable. Even now, as we look back on them, they are very evocative of this special day. Friends and family have all given glowing comments on the album; many have said that it is the best wedding album they've seen.

“Choosing a wedding photographer is a difficult decision - there are so many out there to choose from, each offering slightly different styles and packages that it is hard to choose exactly what you want.  We were always after someone that would blend seamlessly into the wedding day and take photos discreetly rather than being prominent and shouty throughout the day trying to set up a many staged set pieces. 

After narrowing it down and meeting with a handful of photographers, it was Sarah's friendliness and personality that drew us to her.  She was full of ideas and seemed to really understand what we were after.  Having been recently married herself she could even give us tips on some of the finer points of the big day! 

When we got the photos back from our wedding, we were more than thrilled.  She seemed to capture the mood of the day perfectly and it certainly brought back some terrific memories of the big day. 

To summarise, the greatest compliment we can pay Sarah is that she didn't seem like a photographer on the wedding day more a guest.  She worked tirelessly to get the candid shots we requested in very difficult lighting (it was a stormy day!), we spent such little time away from our guests but came away with spectacular photos that really told the story of our wedding (as you can see on this website).  We have no hesitation in recommending her (indeed we have already to friends!)”

“Sarah came recommended to us and at our first meeting was very personable.  She has a wealth of experience and immediately made us feel confident that her priority was to find out exactly what our requirements of her would be.  She came with a range of wedding photo' styles, which helped us less creative-types to articulate the kinds of memories we were after, and I have to say that the end result far exceeded our expectations.  We chose not to have too many formal photo's as we wanted to have as many 'natural shots' as possible and Sarah managed to really catch the atmosphere of the day through people's faces.  Many of our guests remarked on Sarah's ability to remain unobtrusive without compromising on her task of getting as many frames as possible for us to choose from.  I would thoroughly recommend her to you if you are looking for a competent, calm and creative photographer.”

“Chris and I were looking for a photographer who was good at the reportage style of photography and that would be non-intrusive, our shadow for the day, capturing the moments.  Sarah fitted the bill because she made us feel at ease and was interested in us,  so we then felt comfortable to share our day with her and to open up to her in front of the camera.  Being a female photographer also made it easier for me as Sarah could see what was important from a bride’s perspective – details and little things, her patience and empathy with us and our guests.

Before the wedding day the pre-shoot was a really good idea.  It made us feel comfortable with Sarah and gave us the chance to practice and discuss the places that were best for our photos on the day.  It’s good to feel prepared as the photography could separate you from your guests for too long if you are not sure of what you are doing - this was not the case for us, we knew what we were doing and it saved time. As we all know wedding days pass too quickly!!!!

We love the photographs!!!! Chris liked the more unusual shots/reportage shots and i loved the action shots of the little ones running around, the dancing shots and the Vogue shots too :) There were some great shots of my mum looking very proud and pulling the funniest faces which i will treasure forever. The typical wedding shots were fabulous too and are the ones that we have framed to remind us of the day.  The photos definitely exceeded our expectations and we are delighted.

Everyone said that Sarah was fantastic on the day, that she was very polite and considerate and that she worked really hard to get those vital shots. Everyone really liked that we had a female photographer, silly i know but i suppose its unusual as most wedding photographers are men.

We couldn’t have asked for more from Sarah!!!!   She was fantastic, capturing the wedding day and the evening (staying longer than we thought she would), and giving us photographs which showed the essence of the day and still give us immense joy to look at.”

“We chose Sarah as our wedding photographer because as soon as I met her I felt completely comfortable with her, which considering she was going to be with me when getting ready for my wedding I thought this was quite important. When looking at Sarah's website we really liked her photographs, so we contacted her. We thought it very good service that she was willing to come to our house to show us examples of her work. We found the pre-wedding shoot extremely useful as we were able to pick out what styles of photos we liked and what we didn't, reassuring us that we would get exactly what we wanted on our big day. On the wedding day Sarah blended in with our guests and wasn't invasive at all and our group shots didn't feel stressful as she was incredibly organised.

After the wedding the photos were so good it was incredibly hard to pick the ones for our album; they all seemed to be fantastic. We felt she had achieved a good balance of photos of us and the different events of the day and some lovely natural shots of our guests. If we could have had all of the photos in our album we would have done! The finished album is beautiful and it was great that we had a say in the layout and the colour of the photos i.e. colour or black and white.
